About the role:
- Provide vital administrative support to the Engineering Contracts team, helping coordinate activities and ensure key operational deadlines are achieved.
- Working alongside our Project Managers to maintain and administer Council’s Contract Register, Contract Management Database and online tendering platform, supporting effective contract governance and procurement processes.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders, delivering professional customer service and accurate information on contractual matters.
- Assist with a broad range of clerical and administrative functions across the Engineering Division, contributing to the smooth delivery of projects and services.
- Review, verify and process Contract Plant & Equipment and Traffic Control claims in accordance with contracted schedules of rates, requiring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

We are seeking:
- A motivated professional with a Certificate III in Business Administration (or a related discipline) and demonstrated experience providing high-quality administrative support.
- An understanding of contract documentation and tendering processes is highly desirable, as the successful candidate will assist the team with procurement related documentation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn and utilise a range of contemporary business systems and applications.
- A highly organised team player with proven ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accuracy and contribute positively within a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
