Where it's located:

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.

Selection Criteria:

• Why are you interested in working at Tweed Shire Council, and what excites you most about this particular opportunity?
• Do you hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) that is eligible for Corporate Membership of Engineers Australia, or an equivalent qualification and extensive experience in transport engineering? Please outline your qualifications and relevant experience
• Please describe your experience in traffic and transportation management, including the application of engineering standards, government policies and the development of transport schemes, facilities or infrastructure.
• Provide an example of your experience managing staff, including how you have led, developed and supported a team to achieve successful outcomes.
• Describe your experience planning, delivering and managing transport projects or programs of work, including budget development, cost control and resource management.
• Outline your understanding and experience applying asset management principles and best practice to transport infrastructure and related assets.
• Provide an example that demonstrates your oral and written communication skills, such as stakeholder engagement, negotiation, conflict resolution or presenting at public meetings.
• Describe your experience using transport engineering software, transport modelling tools or similar programs. Include examples of how you have applied these tools to support project outcomes or decision-making.

Desirable:

• Do you have any post Graduate qualifications relevant to the position responsibilities. 
• Describe any prior experience with the application of Section 7.11 Developer Contribution Plans or equivalent schemes to manage and fund growth related infrastructure demand
• Describe any prior experience working with the NSW Planning Scheme such as development assessment, strategic planning, land development or certification
