We are seeking a Signwriter Painter to join our team.  This opportunity is for a qualified Signwriter Painter who enjoys a variety in their workday, while working with a great team environment.

About the role:

  • Provides signwriting services and advice to stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Responsible for the manufacture and install of signage on all Council facilities and assets.
  • A balance between field work (installation of signs) and in-housework (production and preparation of signage).

We are seeking: 

  • trade certificate or equivalent level of training to carry out the works of signwriting and painting
  • current driver's licence - car
  • Skilled in applying trade and signwriting techniques to complete work to required standards.
  • Sound understanding and application of relevant industry codes and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using signwriting plotters and associated design/production software.

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
