Business Systems Analyst - Property & Rating

Help drive digital transformation across Council. In this pivotal role, you'll bridge the gap between technology and business, leading system improvements, optimising critical applications, and delivering innovative solutions that enhance services for our community.

About the role:

  • Lead the management, optimisation and continuous improvement of Council's Property and Rating systems and other associated critical business applications.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Council to analyse business needs, improve processes and deliver innovative technology solutions.
  • Assist with managing and delivering complex, organisation-wide technology projects that drive efficiency, business improvement and service excellence.
  • Act as the key liaison between users and software vendors, overseeing system enhancements, upgrades, issue resolution and application performance.
  • Champion change and digital transformation initiatives, supporting the successful adoption of new systems and ways of working.
  • Provide expert advice on business systems, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality and governance.

  • a base salary ranging from $102,118 per annum with competency-based increments up to $117,528 per annum, plus 12% super
  • A maximum-term contract up to 36 months, with potential for extension or permanency (subject to performance, funding and operational needs)

We are seeking:

  • A qualified Information Technology professional with a degree in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline, or extensive experience supporting and administering enterprise business systems.
  • Strong experience providing technical and business support for corporate applications, with the ability to analyse requirements, resolve issues and drive continuous system improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis and information technology within large, complex organisations.
  • Experience in project management, data analysis and reporting, with the ability to develop operational processes, policies and governance frameworks that support business improvement initiatives.

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
