The Recreation Services Unit is seeking a Plumber Tradesperson to join their Building & Recreation Assets Team. The position provides services including plumbing, drainage, gasfitting and irrigation installation, repairs and maintenance to Tweed Shire Councils amenities, park facilities, sportsground services and buildings to ensure they are kept in optimum working order.

We are seeking:

  • Current Contractors Licence to carry out the works of plumbing, drainage, water connection and roofing
  • Minimum six years supervised general practical trade experience (including trade apprenticeship)
  • A thorough working knowledge of the plumbing, drainage, gasfitting and irrigation trades
  • A thorough working knowledge of the latest progressive electronic plumbing fixtures and fittings.

Where it's located:

This position is based at the Murwillumbah Depot, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.

  9. Demonstrated basic knowledge of computer based applications and data retrieval

Desirable:

  1. WorkCover OHS Induction Training for Construction Work
  2. Licence to install LP gas
  3. Demonstrated sound knowledge of Irrigation design and installation.
