The Role
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for Canteen Catering Assistant who are passionate about food and service and willing to assist for the delivery of high-quality products. The role is required to support the Chef Manager in the production of high-quality food for our college Canteen and service.
Location is Novar Gardens, Monday-Friday 8am- 3pm College term only.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure needs of the College customers are achieved in a professional, courteous and efficient manner.
- Assist with the day-to-day service of canteen.
- Take direction from the Chef Manager and work cooperatively within the canteen team.
- Consistently meet customer satisfaction targets to generate repeat business, referral and positive word of mouth.
- Attend to customers in an attentive, welcoming and engaging manner
- Prompt and friendly service, greeting the customer and making suggestions to meet their needs
- Efficient use of the point of sales system
- Ability to work independently
- Communicates effectively with clients to foster an environment of trust and in a manner, which promotes u understanding of effective work outcomes
- Maintain clean and sanitised service areas and equipment
About you
Previous experience in customer service and food presentation
- Previous experience working with students preferable - WWCC required
- Solid interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
- Impeccable grooming standards
- The ability to work in a fast-paced team environment,
- Food preparation skills essential
