The Role

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Catering Assistant to provide our customers with a positive food service experience in a school boarding facility. Based at our client's premises in Novar Gardens, we are looking for a team member who will become part of our college family, where great service is our specialty. 

In your new role, you will thrive in this fast-paced work environment, often working under high pressure.  You will provide support and assistance to the team in frontline food service, food preparation, cleaning and stock rotation. This hands-on role will require you to work as an all-rounder, highly competent and confident in both front and back of house operations.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Previous Hospitality experience in a similar food position preferred
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience is food preparation and presentation inclusive of excellent sandwich preparation skills
  • Prior experience in a catering environment
  • Food and hygiene food safety certificates preferred
  • Good personal grooming, presentation, and a confident and pleasant manner
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Available during school term only 40 weeks per year & to be rostered for shifts ranging between the hours of Monday – Sunday between 2.00pm – 9.30pm
  • Approximately 20 to 30 hours per week
