Looking for a change for the new year- Chef Tertiary Residential & Events

Location: Residential University – PARKVILLE VIC

The Role

We currently have several new roles for the commencement of the new year in our new hospitality precinct.

Position 1 Monday to Friday working days (6.30am – 2.30pm ) with university holidays off, essential to have flexibility to work events during the evening & on weekends when required.

Position 2     Saturday & Sunday 12pm- 8pm, Monday to Wednesday 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday with university holidays off or work a alternative TWG location , essential to have flexibility to work events during the evening & on weekends when required.

Trippas White Group is seeking an energetic & dynamic, up and coming chef to work as part of our team at one of Melbourne’s prestigious residential colleges in PARKVILLE, along with experience in events of all styles and guest numbers.

We are looking for a chef with flair and creativity, a passion for fantastic food and a willingness to work in a positive team environment with a supportive client.

Reporting directly to the onsite Executive Chef, you will be responsible for producing the food requirements for breakfast, lunch, dinner or events for our 400 on site residential students or guests for events. You will be multi-skilled with the ability to assist with café service.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and sustaining productive relationships with key client contacts
  • Day to day production of all kitchen requirements both retail & events.
  • High volume production of contemporary food
  • Ensuring only the very highest standards of food presentation & creativity
  • Assisting with Managing staffing requirements
  • Ordering and replenishing stock

  • Strong knowledge of food handling and hygiene principles
  • Computer literate
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Please note that a Working with Children check is a mandatory requirement of this position.
