We are seeking an enthusiastic Sous Chef who is looking for Full Time employment opportunities. Join and be part of an expanding team at one our prestigious education sites Scots College, Bellevue Hill NSW. Grow with us!

 

The Role:

  • Assisting the Executive Chef in the day to day operation of the kitchens on site
  • Delivering high quality and modern food for the site whilst following food safety standards, policies and procedures
  • Efficient and effective food service delivery which anticipates and accommodates client needs
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the team and key stakeholders
  • People management – including rostering, time sheet approval, coaching and developing
  • Maintaining clean, safe and hygienic work practices
  • Stock control, including ordering, receiving invoice processing & stock taking

 

About You:

  • A natural leader, with strong leadership skills.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a professional kitchen with qualifications or equivalent trade experience including work in events and catering.
  • Immaculate grooming and pride in presentation
  • A passion for creating memorable experiences through providing great food & beverage products and innovation!
  • A curious learner who wants to further their development.
  • Thorough understanding of OH&S, HACCP and Food Safety practices
  • A high attention to detail with a hands-on approach
  • Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Ability to work across a 7 day roster including early starts and some weekend work – school term periods only/pro rata salary
  • Previous experience in a large catering or corporate hospitality environment is an advantage
  • Previous experience working in a flexible, multi-skilled team environment is an advantage
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Immaculate grooming and presentation
  • Able to be a team player, with a positive and can do attitude
  • Drivers Licence
  • NSW RSA
  • Working with Children Check
