We are currently seeking a talented Cook to join our team at Virgin Lounge in Adelaide Airport.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reheating food items and preparing cold and hot snack items using correct food handling and temperature monitoring requirements
- Preparing ingredients for front buffet
- Prepare breakfast items
- Monitor the food records to adhere to Food Safety practice
- Wash dishes when required
- Ensure ingredients and equipment are at the correct temperature
- Clean and sanitise worktops at the end of day’s trade, ensuring correct storage of all food items.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A passion for great food and customer service
- Experience working under pressure in a similar role in a corporate/client workplace
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Good knowledge of OH&S and Food Hygiene requirements
- Great personal grooming, presentation and a confident and pleasant manner
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
- Proven experience within kitchen production
- Lounge is open 7 days per week from 4:00am to 11:00pm
- Suit someone preferring early starts but also has flexible availability.
