The Role 

Predominately Monday to Friday working days with school holidays off.

Trippas White Group is seeking an energetic & dynamic, hands on Catering Manager to lead one of our teams at one of Melbourne’s outer Ringwood’s prestigious schools, retail operations along with experience in events of all styles and guest numbers.

We are looking for a catering manager with flair and creativity, a passion for fantastic food and a willingness to work in a positive team environment with a supportive client.

Reporting directly to the offsite Operations Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day running and supervision of the kitchen including functions and retail. You will be multi-skilled with the ability to lead your team.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and sustaining productive relationships with key client contacts
  • Working with the chef on day-to-day production of all kitchen requirements both retail & events.
  • High volume production of contemporary food
  • Financial and Operational Management of the kitchen operation
  • Ensuring only the very highest standards of food presentation & creativity
  • Managing staffing requirements and rosters
  • Ordering and replenishing stock

  • Strong understanding of all aspects of menu planning disciplines
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment

  • Strong Human Resource skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable grooming standards
  • Strong knowledge of food handling and hygiene principles
  • Computer literate
  • Please note that a Working with Children check is a mandatory requirement of this position.
