The Role
We currently have an outstanding opportunity in our catering sector for a hands-on, highly driven professional to manage the catering requirements for our various clients across our Corporate and Educational Contracts.
Reporting directly to the State Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the onsite catering as a relief Chef Manager. You will be multi-skilled with the ability to lead the teams, meet financial targets, adhere to company standards, as well as providing exceptional catering options and maintain a strong relationship with the clients.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Relief covering Managers and Chefs that are on leave to ensure smooth service our customers and clients
- Establishing and sustaining productive relationships with key client contacts
- Financial and Operational Management of the catering operation
- Day to day running of the catering, café and events
- Ensuring high standards of providing fresh and healthy homemade food
- Implement marketing, theme events and activations for our customers
- Food safety & safety compliance
- Cooking and menu management
- Managing staffing requirements and rosters
- Ordering and replenishing stock
- Assisting in event catering across the business
- Administration
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Proven background as a Chef and retail sales
- A focus on providing excellent customer service and a passion for great food!
- Hands on experience in serving customers and maintaining site cleanliness
- Strong understanding of all aspects of menu planning disciplines
- Function and Event Catering.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Highly developed leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Impeccable grooming standards
- Strong knowledge of food handling and hygiene principles
- Computer literate
- Cert 3 Cookery
