We currently have a fantastic opportunity at Channel 9 cafe for a dynamic and outgoing Catering Assistant, who is passionate about customer service and providing the best overall experience in a Café / Staff cafeteria setting. Your goal will be to provide fast, friendly service and work with a small team to provide an excellent customer experience. You will be required to support in food preparation and service as required, make espresso coffees, operate the POS system and keep a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
This is a casual position with varied shifts from Monday to Friday, between the hours 7.00am – 3.30pm at the Channel 9 Cafe. There are around 10 hours available each week with the opportunity to pick up extra shifts.
You will be responsible for:
- Operating espresso coffee machine essential.
- Preparing sandwiches.
- Operate the POS System.
- Following a cleaning plan to ensure all cleaning and sanitising is maintained.
- Managing stock rotation to minimise wastage.
- Ensuring all safety, hygiene, food safety and food presentation is maintained to a high quality.
To hit the ground running you will demonstrate:
- A proven ability to deliver quality and friendly customer service .
- Basic Coffee Knowledge and the ability to operate a POS system (training provided).
- Teamwork and customer relationship skills.
- Constructive behaviours that are a positive example to others.
- Ability to multi as part of a team.
- High standards of food and occupational safety and hygiene.
- Have completed a food handlers course.
