We are seeking an enthusiastic Sous Chef who is looking for Full Time employment opportunities. Join and be part of an expanding team within one of our Educational providers in Bundoora Vic . Grow with us!
The Role:
- Assisting the Executive Chef in the day to day operations of the kitchen on site. Producing the breakfast, lunch’s & events for both internal and external guests – 6.30am to 2.30pm- Monday to Friday
- Delivering high quality and modern food for the venue’s whilst following food safety standards, policies and procedures
- Efficient and effective food service delivery which anticipates and accommodates client needs
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the team and key stakeholders
- People management – including menu planning, coaching and developing the kitchen team
- Maintaining clean, safe and hygienic work practices
- Stock control, assistance with ordering, receiving invoice of goods & stock taking
About You:
- A natural leader with strong leadership skills.
- Experience in a professional kitchen with qualifications or equivalent trade experience including work in events and catering.
- Immaculate grooming and pride in presentation
- A passion for creating memorable experiences through providing great food & beverage products and innovation!
- A curious learner who wants to further their development.
- Thorough understanding of OH&S, HACCP and Food Safety practices
- A high attention to detail with a hands-on approach
- Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Ability to have flexibility to work across a 7 day roster including early starts and some weekend work – when required for events etc
- Previous experience in a large catering or corporate hospitality environment is an advantage
- Previous experience working in a flexible, multi-skilled team environment is an advantage
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Immaculate grooming and presentation
- Able to be a team player, with a positive and can do attitude
- Working with Children Check
- Current drivers license
