Return to Work Co-Ordinator / WHS Advisor

We are looking for a Return to Work Co-ordinator who will report directly into the General Manager People and Culture and also the Group Compliance Manager.
You will have previous experience working as a full function Return to Work Co-ordinator with duties including but not limited to:
Return to Work co-ordination
- Coordinate the return-to-work process for employees, including communicating with.
- Manage the injury reporting and investigation process, including documenting incidents and implementing healthcare providers and developing return-to-work plans.
- Collaborate with managers, and employees to identify workplace accommodations and modifications to support returning employees.
- Ensure compliance in reporting and actions for workplace injuries according to governing bodies and insurers corrective actions.
- Develop and implement injury management programs to prevent workplace injuries and promote a safe working environment.
- Assist with training on injury prevention, return-to-work procedures, and workplace safety best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of injury reports and related documentation.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of injury management and return-to-work programs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to injury management and workplace safety.
- Coordinate with the Payroll department for reimbursements and accurate processing.
- Assist with the Employee Assistance Program and ensure accessibility.
- Utilising problem-solving skills, clinical experience, and knowledge of injury management to perform assessments and facilitate the return to work of claimants
- Conducting worksite assessments and using lateral thinking and forward planning skills to identify potential return to work pathways in line with likely recovery milestones
WHS Governance
- Establish and maintain strong relationships across TWG, ensuring that all parties have a clear agreement and understanding of their respective roles and accountabilities to reduce risk and injury and ensure a safe workplace.
- Develop relationships with external organisations, including WorkSafe, insurers, professional networks, and other local government authorities to keep abreast of developments in WHS practice
WHS Systems and Reporting
- Assist with analysing work environments and assist in designing training and procedures
- Analyse WHS related information and prepare regular reports for the Senior Leadership Team, the Management Team and the WHS Committee or external authorities.
WHS Education and Training
- Engage with management and staff on WHS issues and programs, communicate and promote effective WHS practices.
- Assist with safety training and education programs online and face to face.
Your Skills & Experience
- Relevant qualification in Work Health and Safety (RTW Coordinator)
- Sound knowledge of WHS and risk management practices.
- 2 – 3 years demonstrated experience in a RTW role
- Some experience in developing training.
- Certificate in Return-to-Work Coordination
- Some experience in risk assessments and evaluation
- Knowledge of incident investigation
- Experience developing or updating H&S documentation
- Experience in influence frontline teams on safety systems
- Experience or willingness to support return-to-work and injury management programs
