About the Role:
As the WHS & IM Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Implementing and improving WHS programs and procedures to ensure a strong safety culture.
- Managing and investigating workplace incidents and injuries, ensuring thorough documentation and analysis.
- Facilitating the safe and effective return-to-work process for injured workers.
- Providing advice and support to management and staff on all matters relating to WHS and injury management.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant WHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate hazards.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through training and awareness programs.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate rehabilitation services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external service providers to achieve optimal WHS and injury management outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to regular safety reporting.
About You:
- Proven experience in Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Injury Management.
- Knowledge of relevant NSW and Commonwealth WHS legislation.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and drive positive WHS outcomes.
- Relevant qualifications in WHS, or a related field, are highly desirable.
