Workplace Health, Safety & Injury Management Officer

About the Role:

As the WHS & IM Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Implementing and improving WHS programs and procedures to ensure a strong safety culture.
• Managing and investigating workplace incidents and injuries, ensuring thorough documentation and analysis.
• Facilitating the safe and effective return-to-work process for injured workers.
• Providing advice and support to management and staff on all matters relating to WHS and injury management.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant WHS legislation and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate hazards.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through training and awareness programs.
• Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate rehabilitation services.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external service providers to achieve optimal WHS and injury management outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to regular safety reporting.

About You:

• Proven experience in Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Injury Management.
• Knowledge of relevant NSW and Commonwealth WHS legislation.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and drive positive WHS outcomes.
• Relevant qualifications in WHS, or a related field, are highly desirable.
