Location: Various throughout Melbourne CBD, Outer East, Northwest

The Role
Predominately Monday to Friday working days/ afternoons with the flexibility to work weekends & nights when required.
Trippas White Group is seeking an energetic & dynamic, hands-on Chef Manager to lead our teams at our various venues throughout Melbourne. This role will predominately cover Chef Manages/ Catering Mangers & Chefs whilst they are on leave along with assisting with mobilising new venues and coverage of vacant positions. Working across all our business, these venues could include high end corporate, prestigious education or business & industry venues. Must have experience across functions, retail & residential catering.
We are looking for a chef manager with flair and creativity, a passion for fantastic food and a willingness to work in a positive team environment with supportive clients.
Reporting directly to the offsite Account Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day running and supervision of the kitchen’s including functions and retail. You will be multi-skilled with the ability to lead your team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and sustaining productive relationships with key client contacts
- Day to day production of all kitchen requirements both retail & events
- High volume production of contemporary food
- Financial and Operational Management of the kitchen operation
- Ensuring only the very highest standards of food presentation & creativity
- Managing staffing requirements and rosters
- Ordering and replenishing stock
- Ensure the highest standards of WHS & Food Safety.

- Strong knowledge of food handling and hygiene principles
- Computer literate
- Please note that a Working with Children Check and drivers’ licence is a mandatory requirement of this position.
