TWG Hospitality Services, one of Australia’s leading premium hospitality operators is proud to partner with The Women’s College at the University of Sydney. We are seeking an experienced Senior Chef who brings creativity, leadership and a commitment to excellence to join our high-performing culinary team.
As Senior Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef, Hospitality Manager and broader kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals across the College’s daily dining service, formal dinners, academic and community events, and bespoke functions. This full-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant residential academic community where quality, consistency and innovation are valued.
Due to operational needs, roster rotations may include morning, evening, weekend and occasional public holiday shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes across all service periods
• Model teamwork, collaboration and a positive kitchen culture
• Take ownership of operational outcomes, ensuring efficiency, consistency and quality
• Oversee stock management & rotation
• Assist with menu development in line with seasonal produce and dietary requirements
• Maintain full compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS standards
• Contribute to training, mentoring and capability development within the team
Skills & Experience:
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
• Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality food, ideally in an educational, institutional or high-volume environment
• Strong leadership qualities and the confidence to guide, support and motivate others
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
• A dynamic and creative approach to menu execution and problem solving
• The ability to multitask, remain organised and work effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Exceptional standards in food safety, hygiene and workplace professionalism
• Solid understanding of dietary needs, allergens and inclusive menu planning
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
