Stromlo Forest Anglican College is a brand-new school community in Canberra, offering a warm, values-driven environment for students and staff. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team, supporting food service operations within our Early Learning Centre (ELC) and Junior School.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a school setting, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and values being part of a supportive team.
About the Role
Working Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm, you will assist with the day-to-day catering operations, ensuring a clean, welcoming, and well-organised food service environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- General front-of-house duties and food service support
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen, dining, and service areas
- Assisting with basic food preparation
- Supporting the kitchen team with daily operations
- Adhering to food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is reliable, punctual, and well-presented
- Enjoys working both autonomously and part of a team in a school environment
- Has good communication and customer service skills
- Can follow procedures and maintain cleanliness standards
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or school environments is advantageous
