We are seeking an enthusiastic Sous Chef who is looking to join a fantastic, fun & supportive team at one of our University Residential Colleges at Sydney University.
To be successful in this role you will be a highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Head Chef in managing all culinary operations ensuring excellence in quality, nutrition, and presentation.
- Develop seasonal and innovative menus, catering to diverse dietary needs and modern food trends.
- Maintain strict compliance with HACCP, OH&S, and food safety regulations.
- Work closely with college leadership and engage with students and faculty to enhance the overall dining experience.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in an education-focused environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and team development.
- Experience in menu planning for large-scale, residential-style dining operations.
- Deep understanding of food safety compliance and workplace safety regulations.
- Ability to innovate, problem-solve, and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
