Job No: TWG762
Location: Australian Institute of Sport

F&B Supervisor | AIS Arena

Trippas White Group is a leading hospitality company, which operates from premium locations such as the Sydney Opera House, Centennial Parklands, Roslyn Packer Theatre, Sydney Tower, Royal Botanic Gardens and various educational settings and schools across Australia. We take great care that our services meet the status and expectations of these prominent, iconic landmarks. Working for Trippas White Group not only means experience at one premium venue but opens endless possibilities to a vast array of food concepts across Australia.

We are seeking an enthusiastic F&B Supervisor to join our expanding team at the prestigious Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Bruce, ACT. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to be part of a dynamic venue, overseeing operations at the iconic AIS Arena, where events range from major conferences to 900+ guest gala dinners. In this role, you’ll help drive exceptional service across the AIS precinct, including retail outlets and events. Grow with us and take the lead in a unique and inspiring environment!

The Role:

  • Lead and supervise the Front of House (FOH) team across various service settings, from café and concessions to corporate and large-scale events, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with Café manager on menu planning and presentation to deliver consistent, high-quality food and beverage experiences.
  • Manage and monitor stock levels, handle purchasing, and align offerings with budget requirements to maximize profitability.
  • Oversee cleanliness, functionality, and health compliance across all dining and event spaces, creating a welcoming atmosphere in every venue.
  • Train, mentor, and inspire FOH staff to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain coffee and beverage quality, and handle diverse service styles confidently.
  • Coordinate and supervise event setups, actively engaging with guests and managing teams to ensure an outstanding experience at events ranging from intimate gatherings to 900+ guest galas.
  • Build and maintain relationships with guests through thoughtful interactions, assessing satisfaction and handling special requests to encourage repeat bookings.
  • Develop and maintain operational processes, including team training plans, rosters, and KPIs, to ensure consistent, high-quality service at every touchpoint.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, Chefs, and internal departments to understand and execute booking requirements, ensuring all functions meet the highest standards.

About You:

  • Service Savvy: You’ve got at least 2 years of experience in high-energy, high-volume venues, and you thrive on delivering exceptional guest experiences that keep people coming back.
  • Team Captain: Leading a crew is in your DNA. You know how to inspire, support, and motivate your team to exceed service standards and make every event memorable.
  • Multi-Tasking Pro: Juggling different setups—from a morning café crowd to evening gala events—is your specialty. You’re cool, calm, and collected under pressure!
  • F&B Know-How: With a solid understanding of inventory, stock control, and barista-quality coffee standards, you’re the kind of supervisor who ensures every detail is spot-on.
  • Event Enthusiast: Big event energy excites you, whether it’s a small gathering or a grand affair with 900+ guests. You love creating experiences that wow every guest, every time.
  • Flexible & Committed: Early mornings, late nights, or weekends? No problem! You’re ready to dive in whenever duty calls.
