We are recruiting for an Assistant Team Leader - Waste Operations. This part-time permanent, 35 hour per week position based at our waste facility is responsible for the coordination of the operational requirements of waste and recycling at Council's landfill/transfer stations.
Duties include, but are not limited to: safe operation of the gatehouse, operation and oversight of the MRF, assisting members of the public with their enquiries, and providing support to the Waste Operations Team Leader, including staff supervision.
You will also assist in processing vehicles to site, maintaining accurate data entry, processing cash and card payments and carrying out start/end of day processes. You will use a range of IT applications and software to carry out your duties.
This role includes weekend work and may include work on public holidays. You may be required to perform your role from any work location within the Council's Shire.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the waste industry along with knowledge and understanding of the provision of waste services and knowledge of the NSW Waste Regulations. You will have previous customer service experience, be a strong team player and physically be able to undertake the inherent requirements of the position.
You will need to be available to work Wednesday to Sunday.

A commencing gross hourly rate $30.40 + allowances and weekend penalties.
