We are seeking a full-time a Trainee Water and Sewer Operator to join the team! This is an entry level opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience whilst studying to gain qualifications.
The primary purpose of this position is to assist with the operation and maintenance of Council's water and sewerage treatment systems, networks and equipment to ensure compliance with health, environmental and customer service requirements and standards.
The aim of the position is to train and develop the successful applicant to become a qualified and competent Water and Sewer Operator. The trainee will assist the water & sewer team with day-to-day operations and maintenance works to gain experience and understanding of water supply and sewerage activities including construction works.
This is a term role of two years, whilst you work towards gaining a Certificate III Water Industry Operations (11 units of competency).
This role may include work on weekends and public holidays.

Commencing salary is as per Band 1/Level 1 of the Local Government (State) Award 2023 - T1-T10 depending on age of the successful candidate.
