Are you passionate about the outdoors, community spaces, and aquatic services? Uralla Shire Council is offering a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to kickstart their career through a three-year apprenticeship in Parks and Open Spaces, including pool operations.

The Opportunity

As an Apprentice General Hand, you’ll contribute to the maintenance and presentation of Uralla’s beautiful parks, gardens, reserves, and recreational facilities. You’ll also assist with pool operations and lifeguarding during the summer season, gaining hands-on experience and formal qualifications including:

  • Certificate III in Parks and Gardens
  • Royal Life Saving NSW Pool Lifeguard Licence

Candidate profile

We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual with a genuine interest in parks maintenance and aquatic services, who is eager to learn, committed to completing a three-year apprenticeship, and ready to contribute positively to our team and community.

Commencing salary is as per Band 1/Level 1 of the Local Government (State) Award 2023 - T1-T10 depending on age of the successful candidate.
