We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated IT professional to join our team as a Senior IT Support Officer, supporting the delivery of Council’s IT services with a strong focus on ensuring systems and infrastructure operate reliably, efficiently, and securely.
This role is responsible for providing advanced technical support, advice and problem-solving expertise to Council staff and management, enabling the effective delivery of services across all areas of the organisation.
You will play a key role in coordinating day-to-day IT operations, supporting ICT projects, maintaining systems and infrastructure, and contributing to cyber security, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives. The position also provides guidance and support within the IT function to ensure a high standard of service delivery

Our ideal candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related field, or possess equivalent industry experience in a business environment.
You will bring demonstrated experience in IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, networks and user environments, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Your ability to manage competing priorities, provide sound technical advice, and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external service providers will be key to your success.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach are essential. You will be a motivated self-starter who takes pride in delivering high-quality IT services and supporting users at all levels of the organisation.
