The Opportunity
Uralla Shire Council is seeking two enthusiastic and customer-focused Library Assistants to join our Community Services team.
Working as part of a small and supportive team, you will help deliver high-quality library and information services to our community. This varied role combines customer service, technology support, collection management, administration, and assistance with library programs and activities.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a friendly, reliable and community-minded individual with strong customer service, communication and computer skills, who enjoys working with people, embraces teamwork, and is committed to providing welcoming and efficient library services to a diverse range of customers. The successful applicant will be able to work independently, support customers with technology, manage competing priorities, and participate in weekday and weekend rostered shifts
Position Description
Part-Time Hours of Work
There are two roles available, one position is 26 hours per fortnight and the other is 18 hours per fortnight. The preferred roster is:
Position 1 - 26 hours per fortnight
- Week One: Tuesday 10-2, Wednesday 12-2, Thursday 12-2, Friday 9:30-1 and Saturday 9:30 -12:30
- Week Two: Tuesday 10-2, Wednesday 12-2, Thursday 12-2, Friday 9:30-1
Position 2 - 18 hours per fortnight
- Week One: Monday 12:30-4:30 and Friday 1-4:30
- Week Two: Monday 12:30-4:30, Friday 1-4:30 and Saturday 9:30-12:30
