The Role
The Manager, Finance Shared services is a key role in the Finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will manage day to day Society wide transaction processing functions including Accounts Payable , Accounts Receivable , Fundraising and Donations processing including retail revenue for our network of over 200 retail centres across NSW. You will lead and develop a large team of accounts officers based at multiple locations across NSW.. We have recently completed a restructure of this team and you will have the opportunity to build process, practices and systems to really transform how we deliver finance services to our stakeholders. You will be accountable for:
- Leading and developing a high performing finance team with capability and motivation to focus on delivering service, outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Ensuring the financial transaction processing is performed consistently on time, accurately and with integrity, to ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Providing oversight of the Society’s cash flows and associated financial risk exposures with a key focus on accounts receivable including timely collection of Society revenue
- Maintenance of proper corporate governance ensuring effective systems of internal controls and compliance with internal and external policies, frameworks and procedures.
- Building collaborative and cohesive business relationships with internal stakeholders across the Society

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant tertiary qualification/s in accounting or similar discipline (and preferably either CA/CPA qualified)
- Demonstrated experience in managing a large team in a complex environment.
- Experience with using large Accounting Software packages Great Plains or similar.
- Proven ability to meet tight timeframes, manage workflows and multiple projects
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
