Directorate overview

The Learning Designer position is in the Corporate Services directorate and is part of the People Strategy and Development team.  This team is responsible for people strategy; people systems and policy; diversity and inclusion; organisational development; and learning and development. 

The Role 

The Learning Designer will design and develop courses, tools and resources to support the learning and development of members, staff and volunteers. You will:

  • Design effective and targeted learning initiatives and solutions for all members, volunteers and employees to align with the Society’s people strategy and other initiatives
  • Design, develop and review effective, creative learning programs to engage, excite and educate, members, volunteers and employees.
  • Design, deliver and evolve high quality resources that support learning and development of employees.
  • Implement and apply best practice learning design

 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s in instructional design, learning and development, adult education or related.
  • Experience in design and development of blended and person-centred learning solutions
  • Experience with learning design authoring tools particularly Articulate 360, Rise and other learning technologies including learning management systems
  • Ability to storyboard, write instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models particularly the 70:20:10 model
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Drive for results and attention to detail.
