The Role
This Senior Analyst role will lead a team of Regional Support Coordinators working across the different regions in NSW. Your work will involve oversighting the finance and accounting processes across the regions, ensuring that these are streamlined and your team is able to deliver expected outcomes within prescribed timeframes. You will aim for your team to achieve high quality financial performance analysis and reporting and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders across all areas of the organisation. You will have strong working knowledge of accounting standards, a mind that is clearly focused in achieving high quality outcomes, and good people management skills.
You will be accountable for:
- effectively leading staff members towards achieving team goals
- ensuring the production of quality and insightful financial and operational analysis to identify business performance improvement opportunities across directorate and regions
- taking the lead in cost-benefit analysis and business cases to support strategic investment opportunities
- leading the delivery of efficient finance and accounting support for regional offices
- developing and delivering annual multi-year financial budgeting, forecasting and reporting to Executive Directors.
- building and maintaining productive working relationships with key stakeholders across all areas of the organisation.

To be successful in this role, you will need
- Relevant tertiary qualification/s in accounting or similar discipline, and membership of a professional accounting body (CPA or CA) in addition to relevant experience in Financial Analysis, management accounting and budgeting.
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight timeframes and the capacity to manage workflows and work on multiple projects at the same time.
- Demonstrated ability and expertise in external reporting, financial accounting and reporting.
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of accounting standards.
- Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate with key stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and in providing accurate reports.
