The St Vincent de Paul Society is a leading provider of community support services and has been assisting people experiencing disadvantage in NSW for more than 130 years. Your new role: 

Bring your Retail Sales Assistant experience to Vinnies Mortdale, well known to locals and visitors for pre-loved quality fashion, collectibles, and other vintage gems. Easily accessible by public transport offering 20 hours per week on a flexible roster, includes weekends.  Your excellent customer service skills, readiness to be an all-rounder retail team member and motivation to contribute significantly to store performance are important to this role. 

Please note: COVID 19 vaccination is required for this role in compliance with NSW Public Health Order.

The Sales Assistant will: 

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure compliance with Vinnies policies and procedures
  • Replenish stock on the sales floor
  • Use your creative flair in assisting with visual merchandising
  • Sort and price items according to Vinnies pricing guidelines
  • Contribute to achieving sales targets of the store.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Flexibility and availability to work including weekends and during peak times (e.g. Christmas)
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Energetic drive to support the team in achieving sales targets
  • Understanding of fashion and trends
