Your new role: 

The Vinnies Support Centre Coordinator based in the Sutherland location will provide a consistent client-centred approach for all client engagements, working directly with clients to effectively address complex needs. The role remuneration is SCHCADS Award, Level 4 - pay point 1, plus salary packaging tax-free benefits.

Your responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring trained staff, volunteers, and members are available for successful clients management.
  • Following client services policies and procedures including client data, reporting and evaluation.
  • Recruitment, selection, training of volunteers team for various roles within the Vinnies Support Centre including overseeing university intern placements as required.
  • Ensuring sufficient numbers of volunteers available as required to conduct client services at the Vinnies Support Centre during business hours.
  • Building and maintaining a collaborative team environment, adhering to the Society’s volunteer management policies and procedures.

 To be successful, you will need: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s in social sciences, education, social work, psychology, welfare, health studies or related area.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in assessment within disadvantaged communities and individuals.
  • Ability to effectively lead and develop a team.
  • Experience managing and leading volunteers, training employees or volunteers.
  • NSW Driver Licence.
