Your New Role

The Retail Area Manager will oversee approximately 11 Vinnies retail stores in a region covering Macksville 2447 in the north to Tea Gardens 2324 in the south of Mid-North Coast.  This is a permanent, full-time role based in Port Macquarie 2444.  Take the challenge of driving the team towards high performance through effective training, motivation, and coaching.  You will have good fashion sense, extensive retail management skills and strong leadership capabilities.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the operations of Vinnies shops; motivate, manage, and coach to ensure stores’ performance objectives are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards
  • Maintain Work Health and Safety measures.
  • Regularly review and analyse sales performance
  • Manage recruitment, performance, and training of Store Managers and sales assistants.
  • Develop innovative strategies to enable stores to meet and/or exceed targets.
  • Varied role where your experience with volunteers will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role, you will need: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s in business, management and/or retail and demonstrated significant experience working in the management of large retail outlet/s.
  • Demonstrated ability in successfully leading retail and supply chain operations.
  • Proven people management skills including leading, motivating, coaching and developing teams.
  • Proven ability to review and analyse business data and analytics to enable effective reporting and decision-making on operational performance.
  • High-level understanding of current issues facing the retail sector and not for profit industry.
  • Financial acumen and experience in managing P&L
  • NSW driver licence and ability to travel across the covered region.
