Your new role:

Join Vinnies NSW in this newly created role of IT Business Analyst, reporting to the Manager, Technology Strategy and Program Management, you will work with key business stakeholders to capture and document business requirements to support ICT initiatives. You will document current processes (supporting use of current systems) and development/document new process.

Your responsibilities: 

  • Gathering, validating, and documenting business requirements/user stories.
  • Analysing commercial data such as budgets, sales results and forecasts
  • Modelling business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
  • Creating functional specifications for solutions.
  • Estimating costs and identifying business savings.
  • Simplifying information and deciphering technical jargon so it is easily understood by the whole team.
  • Implementing and testing of solutions.
  • Supporting business transition and helping to establish change.

You will need: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s in Information Technology or
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in document requirements and user stories
  • End user testing experience
  • Experience in working within both Agile and Waterfall delivery processes
  • Experience in process mapping and process design
  • Demonstrated experience in UI design and
  • Demonstrated experience in customer engagement and usability
