Your new role:
The Retail Area Manager will oversee the retail network covering the Riverina and Albury districts including a total of 12 shops with flagships in Wagga Wagga 2650, Griffith 2680 & Lavington 2641. This role is fit for someone looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to utilise your strong people management capabilities, high level of organisation skills and ability to develop strategies for the teams and stores to reach maximum sales performance.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will:
- Oversee the operations of Vinnies shops; motivate, manage, and coach to ensure stores’ performance objectives are achieved.
- Manage recruitment, performance, and training of Managers, Sales Assistants and Volunteers
- Regularly review and analyse sales performance
- Develop innovative strategies to enable stores to meet and/or exceed targets
- Ensure compliance with operational standards
- Maintain Work Health and Safety measures
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant tertiary qualification/s in business, management and/or retail and demonstrated significant experience working in the management of large retail outlet/s.
- Demonstrated ability in successfully leading retail and supply chain operations.
- Proven people management skills including leading, motivating, coaching and developing teams.
- Proven ability to review and analyse business data and analytics to enable effective reporting and decision-making on operational performance.
- Financial acumen and experience in managing P&L
- High-level understanding of current issues facing the retail sector and not for profit industry.
- NSW driver licence and ability to travel across the South region.
