About the Opportunity
As our Woodwork Trainer, you will teach and support people who are blind or have low vision on how to work with wood and create a variety of different woodwork projects. You will be part of the delivery of one of our popular programs and you will be able to experience the rewards of helping those who are blind or have low vision.
In this role, you will also:
- Conducting cutting-edge industrial workplace assessments, utilising innovative assistive methods and techniques to amplify our clients' independence and elevate their quality of life.
- Designing and implementing bespoke training programs with clients, ensuring they achieve their SMARTA goals and experience tangible progress every step of the way.
- Taking on the role of Primary Service Provider, orchestrating seamless internal service delivery, and collaborating with external partners to unlock unparalleled outcomes for our clients.

About You
As part of the Social Support & Wellbeing team, you should have an appropriate trade qualification in joinery, wood machinery, carpentry and/or cabinet making. In addition, a Certificate IV in Assessment and Training is encouraged. You will also have:
- Demonstrated ability to develop training programs in order to meet client’s employment and personal goals;
- Demonstrated ability to develop industry links with apprenticeship centres and potential employers;
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
