About the Opportunity
The Senior Front-End Developer and Accessibility Advisor exists to create more accessible and inclusive digital experiences for people with disabilities using Vision Australia’s (VA) digital platforms. The role will be responsible for the development of accessible front-end experiences and technical consulting, auditing and testing services for our digital development partners and internal VA stakeholders. In this role you will also:
- Provide front end development (HTML and CSS) to make our Vision Australia digital experiences accessible or to create accessible prototypes;
- Provide consulting, coaching, training and testing services to support our digital development partners to deliver digital experiences that meet our accessibility requirements;
- Work in partnership with Vision Australia internal stakeholders to provide advice, training and coaching to ensure accessibility is considered across all digital products and services;
- Manage the servicing of an accessibility request queue in line with appropriate best practices for service management.

About You
- At least 3 years' experience working in accessibility auditing and testing in an agency setting or in-house;
- Awareness and understanding of the WCAG guidelines;
- Knowledge and understanding of desktop and mobile assistive technologies and accessibility settings;
- Passion and interest for accessibility and user experience.
