About the Opportunity
As our Vision Australia Radio Grants Writer, you will work in collaboration with Vision Australia Radio (VAR) Management and team members to ensure that a planned approach is taken to the development and coordination of grant proposals, submissions, reporting and acquittals. In this role you will also:
- Assist the VAR Manager and stakeholders in seeking grant opportunities
- Write and submit grant proposals, interim reports, and acquittals accurately and timely.
- Conduct research to identify potential new funding sources aligned with strategic goals.

About You
As part of the Vision Australia Radio team, you should have relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in grant writing or related fields. In addition, a high level of administration, planning, time management and attention to detail skills is encouraged. You will also have:
- Relevant experience in community media, not-for-profit and/or disability services
- An understanding and appreciation of specifics when dealing with people who have the lived experience of blindness and low vision.
- Demonstrated sound communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and negotiate successful outcomes.
