Are you passionate about empowering people to live the life they choose? Vision Australia is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Cairns team on a 12-month parental leave contract. This is your opportunity to work in a collaborative, person-centred environment supporting adults who are blind or have low vision. 

About the Role 

As an Occupational Therapist with Vision Australia, you will: 

  • Provide assessments, training, and intervention strategies to enhance independence in daily living.
  • Deliver individual and group programs tailored to client goals. 
  • Recommend assistive technology and environmental modifications.
  • Maintain accurate client records and contribute to continuous professional development.

What We’re Looking For 

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy + AHPRA registration
  • Empathy, adaptability, and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for helping people achieve independence (Recent graduates encouraged to apply – we’ll support your growth!)
