As a key subject matter expert in the field of Access Technology (AT), the AT Lead will proactively take a lead in developing, reviewing, coaching and supervise VA Staff to ensure the delivery of best practice solutions that are person centred, agile and commercially focused. Additionally AT Service Development Leads contribute to the development of new AT products and services and lead a culture of person centred technology services.

Responsibilities
- Act as an AT subject matter expert providing support and assistance to internal and external partners/stakeholders;
- Work with Regional Client Leads and Children and Young People Client Leads to implement changes to policy, procedures, strategic plans and organisational decisions ensuring AT service delivery excellence in alignment with the Clinical Governance Framework;
- Provide support and work collaboratively with Regional Client Leads and Children and Young People Leads to maintain and improve AT service quality through advice on workload management, discipline development, report writing and individual development plans;
- Work in collaboration with Vision Store to provide high level knowledge and support to clients and staff in relation to sales, demonstration installation and configuration of assistive technology equipment and aids
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelor Degree qualifications in Information Technology, Allied Health or equivalent; together with recent practical experience in the field of access technology.
- Understanding of the functional implications of blindness and low vision;
- Comprehensive knowledge of Access Technologies in order to determine suitability for an individual
