About the Opportunity
As our National Risk and Privacy lead, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership in the management of risk, privacy, law corporate governance and medico legal compliance across Vision Australia’s services and business units. In this role you will also:
- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the National Risk, Privacy and Governance Framework, ensuring alignment with organisational policies, legislative obligations, and industry standards.
- Provide expert advice to business units and executives on risk privacy and corporate governance matters, including emerging risks, legislative changes, and compliance requirements which include law compliance and medico legal requests, insurance and corporate risk and contractual risk obligations.
- Work across the Risk and Compliance team to support and manage risk and privacy related complaints, incidents, and breaches, ensuring involvement in appropriate investigation, documentation, and resolution in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.

About You
As part of the Compliance team, you should have a bachelor’s degree in Law, Risk Management, Compliance, Governance, Business, or a related discipline. In addition, demonstrated experience in privacy, risk management, and compliance within a complex, regulated environment (preferably disability, aged care, or health services) is encouraged. You will also have:
- Strong understanding of privacy legislation, regulatory frameworks, and compliance standards relevant to human services.
- Proven ability to lead risk and compliance initiatives across multiple business units and geographies.
- Advanced knowledge of privacy legislation, risk management principles, and compliance frameworks.
