About the Opportunity
As our Veterinarian, you will uphold the health of Seeing Eye Dogs at all stages of the program in such a way that their ability to work as a SED is promoted. In this role you will also:
- Provide routine heath care including; veterinary consultations, vaccination and nutrition programs, and procedures
- Perform routine health checks at critical stages of a SED’s development including; admission to training, matching to a client and graduation with a client
- Provide veterinary advice on a dog’s ability to function as a SED where it relates to their health

About You
As part of the Seeing Eye Dogs team, you should hold a qualification in Veterinary Science that is recognised in Australia. In addition, current registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of Victoria is required. You will also have:
- Minimum 5 years' full time equivalent experience in small animal practice (with daily veterinary care of dogs)
- Current radiation licence
- Ability to work independently in regards to complex surgeries and medical cases
