We are currently recruiting for a part-time Maintenance Technician. Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, the successful candidate will be driven and dedicated, possessing the skills necessary to respond quickly to maintenance requests and to maintain facilities by practicing preventative maintenance and general repairs.
Previous experience in a hotel or residence environment is an asset, the suitable candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and be a team player with strong organizational skills.
GENERAL DUTIES:
Minor Electrical:
•Replacement of plugs, switches, light fixtures, light bulbs
•Ballasts
Minor Plumbing:
•Pipe clamping, P-trap replacement
•Faucet repair/replacement
•Cartridges, spouts, diverters, washer replacement
•Toilet repairs/replacement
•Servicing clogged drains
General Building Maintenance:
•Plastering/paint repair
•Carpet and Vinyl/Ceramic tile repairs/installation
•Kitchen/Bathroom cabinet repairs/replacement
•Closet doors/organizers and shelving
•Door hardware, screen and door repairs/replacement
•Balcony and suite doors repairs/replacement
•Fire and life safety procedures and equipment maintenance
•General common area cosmetic repairs
•Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annually and annually preventative maintenance of equipment
Working Conditions:
•Standing /Moving/Bending
•Move, Lift, Carry, Push, Pull objects weighing up to 50lbs without assistance
•Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time.
