About the Opportunity

In partnership with the Head of College and in prayerful dependence on the Holy Spirit, the Chaplain will lead the proclamation of the Christian gospel to the William Clarke College community. This important position will have a direct impact on the spiritual formation of over 2000 students and their families, and over 270 staff. In a world where most people in Australian society are not connected to a church, a Christian school provides a unique opportunity for students to grow in their understanding of Jesus and what it means to live a life following him. As a member of the Executive team, you will contribute to the planning and development of the strategic direction of the College.

The role reports to the Head of College.

This is a Permanent, Full-Time position commencing in Term 3, 2026

About You

  • Experience in Christian Ministry to children and youth
  • A regular, practicing member of a Christian Church.
  • Personal and educational philosophies align with the College’s Purpose Statement and Virtues
  • Leader who is able to guide, inspire and influence colleagues
  • Strategic thinker who can demonstrate strong Christian leadership, approachability, effective listening and communication at all levels and is also able to plan and deliver on significant projects
  • Leader who is relational, able to empathise, collaborate and communicate with all stakeholders
  • Leader who maintains high standards of personal integrity and expects high standards of others, while demonstrating high levels of support and accountability
  • Leader whose words and actions inspires others
  • Leader who sets high standards in areas of scholarship and personal behaviour
  • Leader who is skilful in leading a diverse staff team and in addressing the needs of multiple stakeholders across the College
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth both personally and for the team they lead.
  • Bachelor Degree in Theology from a recognised reformed, evangelical institution
  • Qualifications and experience as a teacher (preferred)
  • Ordained Anglican clergy (preferred).
