About the Opportunity
William Clarke College is seeking highly skilled Primary Teachers to join our Casual Teacher pool, with opportunities for both half day and full day engagements.
Our approach to learning in the Primary years is best established in small groups. In addition to classroom teachers, students may also work with specialist teachers who have been allocated to deliver literacy and numeracy in a small group context.
Key to the success of this position is to actively engage with and deliver the College’s teaching and learning frameworks, including Teaching for Understanding and fostering deep learning using tools such as Project Based Learning to develop Enterprise Skills.
This is a casual position with immediate start available.
About You
- Appropriate teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation
- Demonstrate a passion for child-centred learning, and proven ability to effectively engage students.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the syllabus and assessment strategies.
- Possess a work ethic reflecting a commitment to excellence in teaching.
- Experience with Phonics, Spelling Mastery and Number Sense or similar programmes.
- Preparedness to engage with the College’s pedagogical initiatives within the College’s Curriculum Framework
- Collegiate and a good team player
- Actively support the College’s Christian ethos
- The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation
