About the Opportunity
Our Preparatory Team provide high-quality Christian school-readiness programs to children in a school environment. Our 2-day and 3-day programs focus on early literacy and numeracy skills and the development of social skills. We are seeking an experienced, innovative and dynamic Teacher’s Aide for a maternity leave relief position of up to one year.
As a Teacher’s Aide, you will be committed to supporting our Preparatory Teachers in delivering meaningful learning and developmental experiences that enrich each child’s sense of creativity and curiosity.
You will work collaboratively to develop resources, implement learning programs and provide students with opportunities to develop personal, social and independent learning skills.
This is a temporary full-time position of up to 1 year (maternity leave relief) commencing in Term 1, 2027. The position works during school term times only.
About You
Your success in this role will be driven by your:
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and work as part of a team
- Previous experience in a similar educational environment and passion for Early Childhood education
- Demonstrated passion for child-centred learning, and proven ability to effectively build rapport with students.
- Excellent classroom management skills and Restorative Justice approach to behaviour management
- Excellent communication skills in English as well as conversational Mandarin and ideally Cantonese language abilities.
- Work ethic reflecting a commitment to excellence in education
- Excellent organisation and planning skills - able to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities within strict deadlines
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
- First Aid Qualifications or a willingness to obtain them
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications as well as an ability to learn and adapt to new computer systems
- Regular practice as a member of a Christian church
- Ability to follow policies, procedures and safe work practices
- Ability to undertake the duties of the position in accordance with William Clarke College’s Purpose, Values and Code Conduct
- Valid Working with Children Check
