About the Opportunity
William Clarke College is seeking an innovative and dynamic Primary Science and Technology Teacher (Primary).
Reporting to the Primary Specialist Co-ordinator, our Primary Science and Technology Specialists are responsible for delivering quality teaching and learning experiences that enable students to be active participants in their unique learning journey. You will have a passion for engaging all students in Science and Technology learning, and encouraging the same passion for STEM within them.
Furthermore, you will support and challenge your students to make a Christian difference in the world and encourage as well as equip them to excel academically and in the range of co-curricular activities the College offers.
Key to the success of this position is to actively engage with and deliver the College’s teaching and learning frameworks, including Teaching for Understanding and fostering deep learning using tools such as Project Based Learning to develop Enterprise Skills.
This is a permanent full-time position commencing in Term 1, 2025
About You
- Experience in delivering quality teaching and learning experiences for students that develop deep understanding through exploring the ‘big ideas’ inherent in Science and Technology
- Science and Technology training and/or STEM experience relevant to a Primary education setting will be an advantage
- Driven to create positive relationships with all students
- Enthusiastic to develop innovative learning experiences
- Strong problem solving, negotiating, and influencing skills
- Collegiate and a good team player
- Actively support the College’s Christian ethos
- The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation
- Regularly practicing member of a Christian church
