About the Opportunity
The College is seeking an experienced casual Canteen Assistant to join our busy College Canteen team.
As a Canteen Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the College Canteen. You will be responsible for the safe preparation and storage of both locally prepared and ready-made food, and providing a high level of customer service to staff and students. This role requires a commitment to safety and team work.
This is a casual position, with variable days and hours of work according to College requirements
Responsibilities

Preparation, storage and sale of hot and cold food and snacks, in line with food safety requirements

Accurate fulfilment of lunch orders

Canteen front counter service

Restocking and rotation of stock, as required

Accurate cash handling and end of day balancing

Maintain a clean and professional appearance of all canteen areas including, cool room, freezer, storeroom, front display, and kitchen area
- Barista coffee making and Café counter service as required

Assist with function catering as required
About You
- Positive attitude and commitment to tackling challenges and solving problems
- A regularly practising member of a Christian Church
- Exceptional personal presentation and hygiene
- A proactive and positive attitude with a highly motivated work ethic
- Team player, enjoys cooperating and working with others
- Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
