About the Opportunity
William Clarke College is seeking a suitably qualified and Assistant Head of Faculty to join our esteemed academic staff team. Reporting to the Head of English, you will support the Head of Faculty in leading the team to deliver quality teaching and learning experiences that speak to the core values of the College. You will provide staff leadership and assist in overseeing the management of curriculum, programmes and associated administration. You will engage with the College's Teaching and Learning priorities to develop learning through research-proven and emerging pedagogical practices.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time position
About You
- Record of excellence as a classroom practitioner with experience in teaching English across Stages 4, 5 and 6.
- Demonstrated understanding of what quality learning looks like in the faculty and the classroom, and how to promote and equip teachers to achieve quality outcomes for students.
- Professional flexibility, motivation and initiative
- Highly developed interpersonal communication and emotional intelligence
- Demonstrated ability to engage in challenging situations and resolve issues
- Actively support the College’s Christian ethos
- Appropriate teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation
- The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation
- Regular practicing member of a Christian church
