About the Opportunity
William Clarke College is seeking a Head of Year to join our friendly and professional Secondary School team. Working with the Head of Secondary, you will be responsible for a specific year group, working to promote a positive and cohesive Christ-centred community amongst students, parents and staff. You will oversee all matters relating to your year group including all aspects of wellbeing and character development, encouraging and supporting each student to identify their strengths and to use their God-given talents to be extraordinary learners and passionately serve others.
This position also balances a teaching load within an academic faculty, experienced Secondary Teachers from any discipline are encouraged to apply.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time position with commencement in Term 1, 2026
About You
- Proven record as a relational leader who is able to guide, motivate and influence students and colleagues.
- Experience supporting and promoting character development, discipline, wellbeing and a strong community culture in a school
- Demonstrated excellence as a classroom teacher across Stages 4, 5 and 6 in your particular subject area(s)
- Appropriate teaching qualifications and NESA Proficient Teacher accreditation
- Actively support the College’s Christian ethos
- The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation
- Regular practicing member of a Christian church
