About the Opportunity

Our Commercial and Global Studies faculty seek to engage students in deep learning across core subjects such as Business Studies, Economics, Society and Culture and Geography. The faculty also offers a range of engaging College-developed "Explore" courses in Stage 5 including Oceanography, Show me the Money and Shark Tank. 

Reporting to the Director of Teaching and Learning (7-12), you will lead your faculty to deliver quality teaching and learning experiences that engage students in deep learning, and speak to the core values of the College.  You will provide staff leadership and oversee management of curriculum, programmes and faculty operations. You will engage with the College's Teaching and Learning priorities to achieve outcomes through research-proven and emerging pedagogical practices. 

This is a Permanent, Full-Time position commencing in Term 1, 2026

About You

  • Record of excellence as a classroom practitioner with experience in teaching relevant subjects across Stages 4, 5 and 6.
  • Demonstrated understanding of what quality teaching and learning looks like in the faculty and the classroom, and how to promote and equip teachers to achieve quality outcomes for students.
  • Proven record of achievement in leadership roles 
  • Professional flexibility, motivation and initiative
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication and emotional intelligence
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in challenging situations and resolve issues
  • Actively support the College’s Christian ethos
  • Appropriate teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation
  • The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation
  • Regular practicing member of a Christian church
