Kitchen Hand

As a Kitchen Hand you will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable multitasking to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service. 

This role is based in Gold Coast University Hospital.

What being a Kitchen Hand is all about:

  • Preparing sandwiches, wraps, and other items according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Clean and maintain general kitchen areas, including dishwashing and waste management. 
  • Unpack and sign off deliveries, ensuring stock is rotated and packed away properly. 
  • Ensuring all food is prepared and handled in line with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked food preparation area.
  • Serving customers efficiently and courteously.
  • Working as part of a team to meet daily service targets and standards.

 What our Stores would love to see:

  • Minimum 1 year of hospitality experience in a Kitchen Hand/Sandwich Hand role.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving stock.
  • Organised and efficient with good communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn & can-do attitude.
