As a Kitchen Hand you will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable multitasking to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service.
This role is based in Gold Coast University Hospital.
What being a Kitchen Hand is all about:
- Preparing sandwiches, wraps, and other items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Clean and maintain general kitchen areas, including dishwashing and waste management.
- Unpack and sign off deliveries, ensuring stock is rotated and packed away properly.
- Ensuring all food is prepared and handled in line with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked food preparation area.
- Serving customers efficiently and courteously.
- Working as part of a team to meet daily service targets and standards.
What our Stores would love to see:
- Minimum 1 year of hospitality experience in a Kitchen Hand/Sandwich Hand role.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving stock.
- Organised and efficient with good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn & can-do attitude.
